- **Slingshot Transportation Inc. is expanding again We have an exciting new opportunity for Support Dispatchers in our Milton Ontario Terminal**_
- **Salary: $45,000-$50,000 annual + paid overtime, average of 38 hours per week but paid for 40**_
- **Shift: 9am to 9pm Continental including every other weekend (2-3 weeks of training on Monday to Friday to start)**_
- **Number of Positions: 1**_

**Position Purpose**:

- To ensure accurate, effective imputing of data entry, dispatching, and planning
- Provide administrative and dispatching support to the Primary Dispatcher.
- Take direction and work assignments from the Primary Dispatchers.
- Accurately and rapidly resolve service issues to help mitigate delays.
- Learn all aspects of the Primary Dispatcher role for emergency coverage.
- Support the operation after hours as required
- Monitor yard operations and ensure sufficient driver resources are allocated to support customer needs

**Knowledge**
- Overall knowledge of North American geography
- Excellent knowledge of Southern Ontario geography

**Skills and Abilities**
- Strong computer skills specifically a high degree of proficiency in MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word
- Capacity to work in a team environment in high pressure situations
- Strong written and oral communication skills are essential
- Ability to listen, speak and communicate effectively, often in some state of distress.
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional mathematical skills including the ability to complete complex equations
- Capable of working in a in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Solid ability to multitask

**Other Requirements**
- 1-2 years related experience within an asset dispatch operation
- Valid Ontario driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to provide after hours and weekend support

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
