Roll Off Truck Driver/ Excavator Operator

Vancouver, Canada Budget Bins & Contracting Full time

Budget Bins & Contracting is looking for a physically fit individual who is motivated and has knowledge and experience in the construction industry operating a roll off truck and an excavator. We also have a concrete pump and bobcat skid steers for plowing snow during the winter and it would be beneficial if you knew or would be able to learn how to operate them. The majority of the work would consist of driving a roll off truck or operating a machine. We will pay good for the right person who is capable of being able to work with a variety of machines. must have a class 3 license and be able to operate an excavator.

**Responsibilities**:

- Safely operate a roll-off truck to transport and deliver waste containers to designated disposal sites
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
- Secure waste containers properly on the truck bed using straps or chains
- Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery and pick-up of waste containers
- Communicate with dispatch regarding any issues or changes in the schedule
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while operating the vehicle
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pick-ups, and vehicle maintenance
- safely operate an excavator or bobcat or concrete pump and produce a quality product

Qualifications:

- Valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a roll-off driver or similar role
- Mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot minor issues with the vehicle
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
- Excellent time management and organizational skills

**Skills**:

- Mechanical knowledge: Ability to troubleshoot minor issues with the vehicle and perform basic maintenance tasks.
- Build: Ability to secure waste containers properly on the truck bed using straps or chains.

**Salary**: $38.00-$40.00 per hour
