Kepler is looking for a Calibration Technician to provide and coordinate the Calibration, Repair and Maintenance of our test equipment. This position requires the individual to be a self-starter who is organized and can prioritize his workload based on production requirements. The successful applicant has strong background in electrical and mechanical calibration practices and is familiar with calibration standards and management tools.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate calibration requirements of all electrical and mechanical assets.
- Update and maintain a calibration database.
- Schedule maintenance and service of equipment while minimizing production downtime.
- Perform or arrange calibration, repair and maintenance of test equipment, and electrical and mechanical standards.
- Perform risk mitigation on equipment downtime, by managing spare’s philosophy of critical or long-lead items.
- Monitor and act on equipment rentals based on cost and utilization.
- Support Production testing during peak periods if required.
- Stay current with industry advancements related to calibration and maintenance practices.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or Certificate in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical Technology or similar program.
- Familiar with Z540.1 and ISO17025 standards.
- Comply with Ontario Electrical Safety Regulations.
- Follow & maintain Lock-out / Tag-out procedures.
- Experience working in an ESD and FOD controlled environment.
- Ability to read, interpret and follow detailed technical instructions, schematics, and electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Ability to work within calibration budgets.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

**Bonus Points**:

- Experience working in high tech and a cleanroom environment.
- Familiar with GageTrak or other Calibration Data Base.
- Experience dealing with equipment vendors and suppliers.
- Familiar with raising purchase orders.
- Experience with Digital, Analog and RF Test Equipment.
- Familiar with Optical Test Equipment.
- Familiar with Vacuum Systems, Compressors, Chambers and Ovens.
- Exposure to software-controlled testing (ie. Labview, Python, C#).
- Skilled Trade.
