We are currently seeking Civil Engineering students for work in our Vancouver Corporate office, located in Richmond, BC for 8 months duration. However, we are considering students with 4 months co-op term as well.

Some of the Job Responsibilities that might be assigned:

- Preparing preliminary estimates in Infrastructure and Municipal Projects.
- Prepare procurement documents and review and evaluate tenders for estimating purposes.
- Liaising with multidisciplinary departments and joint venture partners including architects and subcontractors.
- Making sure the project complies with contractual requirements, especially health and safety.
- Assessing the sustainability and environmental impact of project.
- Verifying technical design documents and drawings, to confirm compliance with Project requirements and specifications.
- Preparing quantity take-offs.
- Evaluating the Project information and providing summary tables.
- Surveying technical information from previous projects.
- Developing Work Methods and Quality Control ITP (Inspection and Testing).
- Preparing and presenting Project information.
- Providing technical and management support to the Design and Estimating Managers.
- Supporting ongoing projects.

**Required Skills**:

- Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s degree program in Civil Engineering.
- Experience/interested in Structural and/or Civil Engineering (any specialty) - Design & Construction
- Experience/Interested in Infrastructure Estimating.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Knowledge in AutoCAD, Civil3D, Heavy Bid or other estimating software would be considered an asset.
- Excellent MS Project/Primavera, Excel and Word skills
- Experience in engineering consulting will be considered an asset.
- Ability to take initiative, pay attention to details, and work in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good problem solver able to thing “out of the box”.
