Shoemaker Drywall Supply is Western Canada’s premier supplier of building materials. Our team consists of dedicated and hardworking individuals who are empowered to create a rewarding and welcoming work environment.

Shoemaker is busy and our **Edmonton**location is looking to add highly motivated and customer-focused Class 1 or 3 Delivery Drivers, with Air Brake endorsement, to the team. You will be responsible for the safe operation of a commercial vehicle to transport building materials to customer sites while also being required to place delivered goods on site. Physical labor is required in this role.

Together, with other team members, you will work to exceed customer expectations and deliver excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Perform circle-checks and complete logbook entries
- Ensure proper vehicle maintenance and servicing
- Verify load security and accuracy
- Professionally communicate with customers, co-workers, and site trades personnel
- Maintain contact with dispatch and resolve issues if they arise
- Prepare trucks for reloading and assist warehouse staff as needed
- Safely transport goods and represent the company to our expected standards
- Follow customer directions on site ensuring to prioritize safety at all time
- Follow all regulations, company policies, and procedures
- Have a valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air brake endorsement
- Be able to drive standard transmission
- Provide a current clean driver’s abstract
- Have effective written and oral communication skills
- Have basic mathematics skill
- Be able to use basic hand tools

Physical requirements include:

- Ability to lift and carry heavy loads
- Sitting for long periods of time
- Frequently climbing up and down stairs
- Pulling, pushing, bending and torso twisting movements to transfer building materials between truck and job site
