Entry Level/apprentice Field Technician

Reporting to the Retrofit Field Supervisor, the purpose of the **Entry Level/Apprentice Field Technician** is responsible for learning the basic functions, procedures, activities and responsibilities associated with working on gas compression packages, gas processing equipment, electric power generation and carbon capture equipment. Duties include general housekeeping, installation, alteration, fabrication and installation of process and small-bore utility pipe, mount, align industrial machinery, vessels and piping systems, reassembly of new construction equipment in remote locations under direct supervision that will allow for progression to a qualified journeyperson position within the oil and gas industry.

**Principle Responsibilities and Duties**
- Attend formal apprenticeship training as per trade program and applicable Enerflex policy.
- With direction and mentorship of Field Foreman, work collaboratively with a variety of field and shop tradespeople, dismantle, reassemble compressors packages and related components as per applicable OEM and Enerflex procedures and standards.
- Comply with Federal DOT guidelines for drivers of service vehicles weighing more than 10,000 lbs., including maintaining daily driver logs.
- Basic mechanical and electrical aptitude such as automotive, industrial equipment maintenance etc.
- Ability to demonstrate an ability to learn in both hands on and classroom setting.
- Participate in internal and external training courses as an opportunity for career growth and development.
- Responsible for submitting accurate field service reports, timesheets and other necessary paperwork daily.
- Comply with all company quality, and Health and Safety work procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Possess an active level A certification for Folding Boom - 22 tonnes, under crane operator licenses in Alberta/BC.
- Enrolled or willingness to enroll in Millwright/Pipefitting apprenticeship training and gain on the job experience working alongside highly skilled, qualified Tradespeople.
- Highly motivated and well organized.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must have and maintain a positive and professional attitude and work ethic.
- Self-motivated team player with strong attention to detail.
- Current certification in some, or all of the following is considered to be an asset. WHMIS, Fall Protection (FP), Aerial Work Platform (AWP), Overhead Crane Training and First Aid.
- Be available for overtime work and travel as required.
- Ability to travel and work extended shift rotations in the field.
- Valid class 5 Driver’s License with the ability and willingness to drive long distances.
