**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Director, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), the Program Manager, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) is accountable for supporting the execution of GTAA’s DEI strategy, programs, policies and processes, ensuring alignment with the strategic objective of the organization as well as the organization’s people strategy. This role leads the planning and delivery of activities designed to support our priorities and will drive DEI results in the organization by raising awareness, providing education and driving action and meaningful change through continuous improvement.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Support the development of programs and initiatives to build a highly diverse workforce in all areas of our business
- Manage the development and facilitation of material to instruct employees and people leaders on how to best include, empower and inspire employees
- accommodating and appreciating individual differences and leveraging those differences to benefit the business
- Be a change champion to embed diversity awareness and inclusive practices into people programs and policies to mitigate bias using data-driven approaches
- Lead the development of DEI-focused learning and training modules, with a specific lens to customer-facing employees
- Assist in managing and maintaining DEI evaluation tools, generate reports to highlight trends, demonstrate the impact of programs and find opportunities for continued improvement
- Lead all aspects of DEI program initiatives, tracking progress, developing reports and presentations
- Translate emerging themes into clear action plans and deliverables, track measures of success, manage risk, communicate progress and achievements and enlist the support of others through a shared vision
- Partner with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to collaborate with senior leaders on implementing the DEI strategy at the team level
- Manage relationships with external partners in order to add new value for our organization, and the communities our partners work with
- Foster strong and mutually beneficial relationships with employees, organizations and other agencies working to address diversity, equity, and inclusion issues and inspire change
- Provides thoughtful and effective DEI coaching to senior leaders to enhance the skills/capabilities of the group and create an environment of commitment and openness
- Be an advisor to our DEI councils and committees and participate in committee meetings
**Qualifications**:
- University Undergraduate Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- CHRP or CHRL designation is considered an asset
- 2 years professional experience in DEI
- Ability to obtain and retain a Transport Canada Clearance

- Strong interpersonal and business relationship skills.
- Expert knowledge of DEI principles and a broad understanding of the unique needs of equity deserving groups.
- Experience presenting to diverse stakeholders with the ability to adapt communication style to resonate with various audiences
- Ability to influence change and effectively manage across the organization
- Demonstrated ability to lead, and manage multiple, competing deliverables and deal with ambiguity
- An affinity for data and an understanding how it can inform decision-making around diversity issues
- Demonstrated experience educating, coaching, advising, and consulting on DEI issues and influencing individuals in a non-reporting relationship.
- Demonstrated capacity for critical and strategic thinking with solid tracking, analytical and reporting skills for DEI critical metrics
- Outstanding planning, organization, and time management skills with the ability to balance multiple projects while recognizing priorities
- Willing to take action and self-directed
- Ability to exercise independent decision-making to work projects through to the end of development and implementation
