Description:
As a Social Worker III, you will perform either advanced level assessment and treatment or act as a clinical lead. You will work with or within teams to provide health care services for patients with complex and multidimensional medical, psychosocial, environmental and instrumental needs. You will provide advanced clinical services, consultation to the interprofessional team and patients/families and supervision of students and team members as assigned. You may also act as a clinical lead providing leadership in the planning, development, and delivery of services in a specific area, as well as staff development, quality improvement and evaluation or research activities as identified by the needs of the service area(s).

**Required Qualifications**:
Master's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).

**Additional Required Qualifications**:
Current full registration/licensure with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW) with the ability to perform restricted activities required. Minimum 3-5 years clinical experience in the Mental Health field required. Minimum 3-5 years clinical work experience at the MSW level working within a community mental health program required. Active working knowledge of current mental health legislation required. Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, interviewing techniques and writing skills required. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. In depth knowledge of Mental Health/Mental Illness required. Clinical experience in the provision of individual/ group therapy modalities required. Non-violent crisis intervention required. Travel within Calgary and the surrounding southern Alberta areas will be required as necessary.

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Clinical experience working with a forensic mental health population preferred. Community Mental health experience working with forensic populations preferred. Couples and Family therapy an asset. Active working knowledge of Criminal Justice Systems an asset.
