If you are looking to become part of a "work family" and seeking long term stability let us know Really, this role is open to anyone with a bright mind **Essential Duties and Responsibilities of Hose Assembler** - Assembling hoses prior to being shipped to the customer - Participating in continual training and development - Completing daily work orders to indicate goods being shipped and to identify late orders - Reading and following basic diagrams, drawings, specifications, bills of material, and instructions to accurately assemble components into finished products - Assisting other Assemblers when required - Performing work in accordance with quality standards and safety procedures - Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace or assembly station **Skills Required**: - Ability to follow Quality Control procedures where applicable - Highly skilled at paying attention to detail while working efficiently - Certified to operate forklift (Reach/Counterbalance) - Ability to safely lift reels of hose and assembled product - Comfortable using hydraulic press (full training provided) - Command of the English language. Spoken and written with clarity. - Natural ability to form relationships. Being easy to engage in conversation (people skills) - Quick minded. Multi-tasking with an understanding of assembled vs loose product - Other duties as assigned by Department Manager. - Simultaneously act as part of the production team and team FHC - Liaise with department manager on production matters regarding, equipment, build sheets, etc - Must be a self starter and "own" their part of the production process - Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace or assembly station **Ideal Industry Experience (but not required)**: - Clear understanding of product supply, and production to shipping is an asset but not required. - **Experience with Industrial Hydraulic Connections** (hose & fittings) are not a requirement but would be preferred. If not experienced with Industrial Fluid Connections the ability to learn rapidly (photographic memory, enhanced patterning skills, etc.) will be a strong asset. - Overtime mentioned is not guaranteed as it relates to work load **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Dental care - Extended health care Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Overtime Supplemental pay types: - Overtime pay Ability to commute/relocate: - Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) **Education**: - Secondary School (required) **Experience**: - light assembly or production assembly: 1 year (preferred) - warehouse: 1 year (preferred) **Language**: - clear English (required) Licence/Certification: - forklift (Reach/Counterbalance) license (preferred) Shift availability: - Day Shift (required)
