LIFT is looking for a strength and conditioning specialist or kinesiologist with a strong background in strength training to work closely with our Physiotherapist to design and implement training and rehab programs for a growing and diverse list of clients. You will have the opportunity to work with our physiotherapist to help individuals who are coming back from an injury or looking to work on strength imbalances on their body, as well as carry your own caseload of clients with goals of improving strength and overall well being. At LIFT we believe that movement is medicine, and use a modality free approach to treatment so this position is perfect for the practitioner who is looking to work actively with clients to improve their well being instead of hooking them up to stim and ultrasound machines

**Responsibilities**:

- Work collaboratively with our physiotherapist to help clients reach their strength and conditioning goals
- Assist Physiotherapist in development and delivery of training programs
- Assist Physiotherapist and other kinesiologists with group physio classes
- Conduct the assessment and construction of training/rehab/wellness plans with attainable goals and outcomes
- Provide education, recommendations, and advice to colleagues with an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and friendly approach
- Design and implement individual and team training plans for athletes and clients of all ages
- Integrate and work collaboratively with the LIFT team
- Stay active in professional development and maintain current expert knowledge in the field
- Maintain training area in a safe and clean manner

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education with a focus on Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, Sports Sciences, Athletic Therapy
- Registration with an exercise related governing body (BCAK, CSEP-CEP, C.S.C.S, ACSM Exercise Specialist, or equivalents) will also be looked at
- Current First Aid and CPR
- ASSEST: 1+ years experience working in the field of Kinesiology/Athletic Therapy/ performance training
- ASSEST: 1+ years of experience in active rehab or other rehabilitation environment.
- Capable of working effectively in a team environment and independently
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Job type: Part-time/Fulltime

Part-time hours: 30 per week

**Salary**: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
