**Position Overview**

Reporting to the Manager, Transit Planning and Business Services, and working closely with the Business Services Clerk; this position will have responsibility for financial analysis, budget preparation and monitoring, financial and operational analysis, revenue collection, performance monitoring and assisting with departmental projects. This role provides direct report to the Business Services Clerk for Transit.

**Responsibilities**

The Coordinator, Business Services (Transit) job responsibilities include:

- Coordinate the preparation and monitoring of Transit capital and operating budgets, financial data and analysis to support ongoing projects and day to day operations, which may include monitoring of fuel through fleet analysis reporting using city and transit implemented systems (currently Winfuel, Avantis and SAP)
- Oversee the financial processes of Transit revenue and coordinate reconciliations with internal finance staff
- Provide financial costing and analytical support for Transit including identifying key cost and revenue impacts and analysis.
- Key department liaison with finance department on all budget related guidelines and processes
- Represents the Transit department and provides expertise in internal and external committees and meetings.
- Assists in the preparation of Request for Proposals (FRP) and Request for Quotes (RFQ) and provides general support for Transit procurement processes such as change orders and closure reporting.
- Assist in the development and evaluation of performance measures using the City’s Business Intelligence tools to meet business and customer needs including research and trend analysis.
- Assists with preparation of reports and presentations for Committee and Council
