This position has an end date of December 31, 2028 and offers a comprehensive benefits package. The salary will be commensurate with experience in accordance with the Academic Teaching Staff Agreement.

**Location -** This role is in-person. Work primarily takes place at Augustana Campus, Camrose.

**Working for the** **Augustana Campus**

The Augustana Campus of the University of Alberta is located on Treaty Six territory in the City of Camrose, 90 kilometres southeast of Edmonton. Situated in rural Alberta, the campus is home to approximately 900 students and offers bachelor’s and master’s degree programs offered by the U of A's Augustana Faculty and the Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine, respectively. Augustana Campus provides a distinctive learning experience characterized by close connections between students, staff and faculty and numerous opportunities for student participation in athletics, clubs and campus organizations. Students benefit from the advantages of a small campus while earning a degree from one of Canada's leading universities.

The Campus is located on Treaty Six territory which provided a traveling route and home to the Maskwacis Nêhiyawak, Niitsitapi, Nakoda, and Tsuut'ina Nations, the Métis, and other Indigenous peoples. Their spiritual and practical relationships to the land create a rich heritage and ongoing model for our learning and our life as a community.

**Position**

The Department of Social Sciences at the Augustana Faculty of the University of Alberta invites applicants for a full-time Academic Teaching Staff member in Management and Business Economics for a three-year contract with the potential for renewal.

As the rural campus of the University of Alberta, your work will have a meaningful impact on a broad cross section of people—from students and stakeholders to community and industry leaders — all wanting to discover and generate solutions that make the world healthier, safer, stronger, and more equitable. The Management program is in a period of renewal, part of which includes the development of a Co-op program, and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a strong rural-based management degree.

**Duties**

Reporting to the Chair, the position will include the following responsibilities:

- Provide excellent instruction in undergraduate courses in the Bachelor of Management program, including those listed above.
- Design course syllabi, course materials, prepare exams or evaluations tools and assign grades.
- Evaluate student performance progress and provide appropriate and timely feedback according to department protocols.
- Demonstrate scholarship and remain current and competent in the discipline or profession by keeping class material relevant to the needs of the current student.
- Develop curriculum and material for new courses.
- Facilitate student engagement (e.g., involvement with student clubs; case teams).
- Assist with the development of the co-op program.

**Qualifications**
- Applicants must have graduate-level training (Master’s level or higher) that is relevant to the discipline, combined with a minimum 5 years professional expertise in the field.
- Evidence of effective teaching at the post-secondary level.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
