The Fusion Youth Centre is currently seeking a dynamic and talented Technology Program Staff member
who is passionate about sharing his/her video production, graphic design and photography expertise with
youth through engaging and interactive programming.
Joining Fusion’s exceptional team, the Youth Centre Program Staff member will create, assess, and
implement youth-targeted multi-media programming and projects. The incumbent will be expected to
work flexible hours (primarily evenings and weekends) and must demonstrate an ability to lead and
mentor youth participants. This position is a one year contract, with opportunity to renew.

Specifically, the incumbent will be responsible for:
Creating, implementing, and assessing engaging and innovative youth-targeted multi
- media programming, video editing/sound
Undertaking recruitment and retention activities related to programming participation.
Supervising, coaching, and mentoring participating youth.
Ensuring the safety and security of all participants; adhering to and enforcing health and safety
policies and procedures and reacting quickly and decisively to all issues that arise.
Assisting in the creation of graphic elements and media content for video productions,
special events and marketing materials.
Assisting with the facilitation of various other Fusion programs and special events.
**Qualifications**
as it relates to youth development, is an effective leader, and a positive role model capable of involving
and empowering youth ages 10-18.
To meet the requirements of the role we are seeking an individual who can meet most of the
following requirements:
Degree or Diploma in Child and Youth Worker, Recreation Studies, Multimedia Designa nd
Production, Visual Arts, Television Broadcasting, Graphic Design, Photography, or other
related area of study **OR **an equivalent combination of previous experience and education
Previous experience and demonstrated aptitude for working with and leading youth ages 10
- 18.
Previous experience gained in youth recreation and activity programming considered an asset.
Proficiency with video production/photography equipment including Final Cut Express,
Adobe Creative Suites, Photo Shop, DSLR, and DVCPRO cameras and lenses, as well as
lighting and audio for video.
Thorough knowledge of design principles and media production workflows.
Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule to meet programming needs; primarily
weekends and evenings.
