The sidewalk crew member is an important part of our snow operations team. Our sidewalk crew members:

- clear and maintain sidewalks, steps and emergency exits of buildings during and after snow events
- must be able to operate basic snow removal equipment as required
- perform salting & ensure sidewalks are kept in a safe condition
- are required to be on call 24/7 throughout the winter
- must be able to push up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout shift
- must be able to work 12 + hour shifts
- must have own transportation to and from job site in Ottawa

This is a seasonal, hourly position. Opportunity for full time work as we transition into our spring landscaping services.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Casual, Seasonal
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 60 per week

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ottawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Landscape maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
