Full Time Chef/cook

Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Create and implement menu for Chef specials
- Oversee kitchen staff, including cooks, food preparers, and dishwashers
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food production
- Monitor food quality and presentation to maintain high standards
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
- Manage inventory and control food costs
- Collaborate with restaurant management to develop new dishes and improve existing ones
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a chef or in a similar role
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise a team effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and creativity in food presentation
- Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations
- Degree or certification in culinary arts or related field is preferred, but not required
**Skills**:
- Cook: Proficient in cooking techniques and able to prepare a variety of dishes.
- Food service: Knowledgeable about providing excellent customer service in a restaurant setting.
- Restaurant management: Familiar with managing kitchen operations, inventory, and staff.
- Food preparation: Skilled in preparing ingredients, following recipes, and executing cooking techniques.
- Kitchen: Experienced in working in a professional kitchen environment.
- Food handling: Adheres to proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation.
