Retail & Experience Team Leader

We are recruiting for a **Retail & Experience Team Leader **to join our team starting **mid March/Early April.**

Interviews have begun already These openings will lead junior teammates this summer and need to have some prior experience in the industry. Maybe you have done a few seasons as a server and your responsibilities grew each year - ideally you have some events, functions or seated tasting experience to bring. We will have both Permanent and Contract openings with full time hours available in peak season.

The Retail & Experience Team Leader focuses on creating memorable guest experiences and achieving daily sales targets for wine and Wine Club sales within the wine retail boutique. This role motivates and mentor's property Associates to achieve/exceed all assigned business targets and is regularly called upon to execute opening and closing of both wine boutique.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Confidently selling Wine Club membership to guests
- Maximizing revenues per guest transaction (including up-selling) via a solid understanding of:

- property wines / accessories / experiences / Wine Club membership benefits / events
- all Estate Wine Group properties and Andrew Peller Limited Wine Shop locations
- Facilitating guided tour and tasting experiences for property guests
- Assisting with processing guest sales (via POS system) and with bookings/reservations (via internal reservations systems) when required
- Cash control procedures and retail inventory control procedures (receiving, ordering, promotions, stocking, experience write-offs); assists with monthly retail inventory process
- Occasionally assisting management team with general retail/tour/experience administrative duties
- Following safe work procedures/practices; reports any unsafe working conditions/hazards to assigned Manager on Duty
- Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the store product/tour route/experience locations at all times

**We are looking for a teammate with**:

- Demonstrated Guest/Customer service excellence focus with some supervisor or leadership experience
- Experience working with computer based point of sale systems and handling cash
- Ability to recognize when guests and team members would benefit from support and assistance; contributing to others' initiatives without having to be asked
- Smart Serve Certification
- First Aid certification an asset
