Unique Telecommunications is seeking a Cable Technician to join our team. This person will report to the Director and will also work with other team members.

Duties & Skills:

- Install fibre optic cables in new and existing buildings
- Use portable hand tools, including concrete drills
- Install EMT and PVC conduits
- Work with fibre optic cable, while following manufacturers specifications
- Read blueprints and construction plans
- Troubleshoot cabling and conduit issues and communicate issues effectively

**Education**:
Work experience:

- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, solo, as well as on a team
- Follow company and job site health and safety rules
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Cable reels, boxes of fibre, ladders, etc
- Self-disciplined, motivated and organized

General Traits Desired: Entrepreneurial, self-managed, keen initiative, team player, very flexible as the assignment grows

Compensation: $20 per hour commensurate with experiences.
