**Job Title: Grocery Assistant Manager**

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the grocery department, including inventory management, merchandising, and sales tracking.
- Assist in hiring, training, and scheduling staff to ensure the department is properly staffed at all times.
- Ensure that all food items are properly stored, rotated, and displayed to the highest standards of quality and freshness.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase revenue and meet department goals.
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure proper stock levels.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and sanitized.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests, ensuring that all customers are satisfied with their experience.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in grocery, food service, or retail management.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Demonstrated ability to manage inventory, track sales, and develop and implement sales strategies.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional and timely manner.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $22.00-$23.00 per hour
