We’re looking for someone to do layout and fit up.
ContainerWest Manufacturing has an opening to help build fabricated structures and portable steel buildings that are based on shipping containers. These are made to order and offer tremendous variety.
Key skills:
- Metal Fabricator or Experienced Welder with fit up experience
- Accurate and fast. Work is clean.
- Read drawings, understand assembly sequence
- Team player: pitch in to help wherever needed
We have a small but great team of competent people in a good work environment.
Wage is commensurate with experience and extended health benefits are provided. Normal schedule is 7:00 to 3:30 M-F with some overtime opportunities depending on project requirements. We provide all tooling and PPE except welding helmet and boots.

ContainerWest manufactures container based and factory built portable steel buildings that meet the demands of industry in Western Canada. We provide excellent value and are the only manufacturer with field experience and vertical integration from design to delivery. We have also been selling, renting and storing containers since 1977. The manufacturing plant, design department and sales are all based in Richmond, BC. ContainerWest is a lean organization and everyone is expected to do their share of hard work, share information, be reliable, be open to new methods and be motivated by the team’s success.
Pay: $24.27-$39.49 per hour
