**Summary of Position**

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk, under the direction of the Salam and upper management, is primarily responsible for overseeing incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk will inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications and coordinate the activities of warehouse workers relating to all shipping activities. When needed, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk will operate a forklift, or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods.

**Job Duties**
- Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments
- Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking.
- Track shipments and verify receipts of shipments as required.
- Study shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules
- Inspect incoming materials and notify appropriate staff of potential quality issues
- Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with specifications
- Direct movement of shipments to appropriate work areas
- Perform quality audits of the condition of shipped goods for both incoming and outgoing items prior to signing off.
- Prepare shipping dock to transfer out product
- Match product with shipping orders
- May operate forklift, hand truck, or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods
- Direct movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areas
- Maintain constant communication with vendors, shippers and company project managers to ensure that all needed materials and supplies are in place when needed.
- Schedule incoming and outgoing shipments with a variety of carriers.
- Track shipments and verify receipts of shipments as required.
- Create purchase requisitions as required.
- Compile and maintain applicable metrics as required
- Arrange transportation that optimizes service and cost
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- 2+ years of related work experience
- Postsecondary degree or diploma preferred
- Forklift Certificate from a reputable training school preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Exceptional time management skills
- Ability to handle pressure
- Ability to adapt and formulate new plans as contingencies arise
- Self-motivated, with leadership skills and a high energy outlook
- Strong written communication skills
- Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
