Role:
Reporting to the Inventory Control Manager, this position is responsible for receiving delivery associates back into the warehouse, processing paperwork and customer returns.
Role Responsibilities:
- Ensure customer credits are coded correctly.
- Verify and ensure all returned product is scanned and returned to stock daily.
- Communicate with various departments (Transportation, Warehouse, Credit, Inventory/QA) to ensure proper procedures and policies are being adhered to.
- Ensure all route bags are sorted daily and all the driver’s paperwork is verified for accuracy and completeness.
- Inspect all items upon return to insure the items are compliant following our corporate driven food safety guidelines and credit returns policies.
- Is willing to work safely with mínimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
- Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
- Responsible for compliance with all Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) comprising Sysco’s Food Safety Program, specific for the assigned role.
- Assist Food Safety Program Manager in ensuring compliance to Sysco’s Food Safety Program that leads to compliance with third party certification and customer requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements:
- 1-year experience in a warehouse environment preferred
- High school diploma required
- College Diploma an asset
- Material handling equipment experience is an asset
- Basic proficiency with MS Excel, Word and Outlook
