At Shift, we are looking to attract diverse, kind-hearted, and passionate people in search of a career in the renewables industry. We have an immediate opening for a full-time Permit Coordinator to join our Engineering team in Vancouver or Victoria, BC.

**In the role you will**:

- Review, check, and submit building and electrical permits within BC and Nova Scotia
- Coordinate and liaise internally and with required subcontractors (e.g., structural engineers) to prepare drawings and schedules
- Coordinate payments and reimbursement of permit fees
- Advocate for Shift and work with local jurisdictions to streamline permitting processes
- Understand local AHJ requirements as it relates to the permitting process and update the internal database permitting requirements
- Additional duties assigned as needed

**Required Skills**:

- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 1 year of previous construction management experience
- Experience with building permitting
- Exposure to PV design and installation processes is preferred
- Must be a motivated team player, looking to succeed
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Professional appearance and interaction
- Proficient with Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, and Management Software
- Skills with AutoCAD an asset
