We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic communications professional to join the ERP Project's Change Management Team on **a two-year contract as a communications specialist**.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The role will be focused on ensuring staff and other stakeholders in GNB departments, school districts and community colleges are aware and prepared for upcoming changes to the way they work and/or access their services. You will also support operations-based communications for a period of time once changes have been implemented.
New Brunswick's anglophone and francophone school districts, as well as the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (EECD), are expected to be the area of primary focus for this role, but this may shift as project priorities evolve.
**Communications strategy and plan development and execution**
You will work collaboratively with members of the project team, and in consultation with communications staff and other key stakeholders in applicable government organizations, to:
- develop and execute communications and engagement strategies and plans, and
- develop and support the dissemination of communications tools, materials, and key messages.
**Overall project awareness and promotion**
To ensure stakeholders understand the why behind the changes that will occur, you will:
- help build awareness of the ERP Project's overall purpose and vision, and
- contribute to the identification and development of project awareness and promotional materials.
**Post-deployment support**
There will be a period of approximately four-to-six weeks after changes are implemented where communications support to stakeholders will be required. In partnership with the ERP Program team, post-deployment communications will focus on:
- clarifying and/or supplementing information shared with stakeholders prior to deployment, and
- survey development, dissemination and follow up.
**ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS**:
- a university degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field, with a minimum of five years related work experience, or
- a two-year college diploma in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field, with a minimum of seven years related work experience.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
