Halifax, Canada Freemans Little New York Full time

Freemans Little New York is a restaurant in Halifax, NS. We are a casual, neighborhood bar and restaurant with a focus on pizza and local craft beer. We are looking for a competent server/bartender to provide an excellent guest experience. Good servers/bartenders will be able to create classic drinks and have a good knowledge of alcohol. Compensation includes hourly wages and tips.

**Responsibilities**
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Plan and present bar menu
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations

**Skills**
- Resume and proven working experience as a server/bartender
- Decent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
- Computer literacy
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 15-30 per week

**Salary**: $14.50 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekends as needed
