Warehouse Manager

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**

**General Operations**:

- Ensure quality and accuracy in execution of receiving, and shipping.
- Provide strong customer service standards and lead the team by example while multitasking.
- Resolve problems as they arise.

**Shipping and Receiving**:

- Coordinate the daily receiving and marking of product and paperwork.
- Ensure our delivery trucks are properly and safely loaded in a timely manner and drivers are given instructions and paperwork for each delivery prior to leaving.
- Maintain records of deliveries and schedule of pending deliveries.
- Handle all incoming shipments. Ensure product is received and inspected. Mark sold product accordingly and process stock. Handle any discrepancies in product and quantity. Record damage of products as needed.

**Warehouse**:

- Maintain warehouse practices - i.e. operation of equipment, waste removal, repair and maintenance of trucks.
- Optimize storage area by maintaining an organized and tidy space.
- Unload trucks with forklift and moving inventory around.
- Pull product and check orders.

**Personnel**:

- Contribute to the hiring of warehouse staff and truck drivers.
- Manage warehouse staff and truck drivers. Delegate duties to staff where applicable and appropriate and follow up to ensure task completion. Lead by example. Work with staff in loading procedures of trucks, serving customers and proper way to write up orders.
- Supervise and provide written routine evaluations of warehouse staff and truck drivers.
- Provide orientation and training for all new warehouse employees.
- Keep records of staff and document any concerns or errors.
- Manage staff hours and ensure compliance with company policies on hours and lunches.
- Supervise co-op students.

**Customer Service**:

- Maintain customer service standards and coordinate with office team to process orders and invoices.
- Provide product information, answer questions and take orders from customers in-person.

**Inventory**:

- Supervise warehousing and storage of all material and maintain acceptable inventory levels.
- Initiate product orders through supervisor and maintain strong inventory levels of stock/bin items.
- Assist in photographing damaged product to aid in processing credits from suppliers.

**Health and Safety**:

- Document unsafe conditions and bring them to the attention the supervisor.
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties.
- Update job knowledge by participating in relevant educational opportunities.
- Maintain first aid training certifications.

Any other relevant duties as assigned.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail and follow up with an ability to plan and organize effectively and meet deadlines on time.
- Current forklift license and first aid certification.
- An ability to lift repetitively, an ability to display according to operating standards and maintain the shop ability of the store. Must be able to lift, bend and carry objects on a continuous basis.
- Must be able to use necessary equipment (i.e. pump cart and saws).
- Valid G Drivers License and Clear Drivers Abstract.
