The Communications team oversees various internal and external communications programs designed to support senior executives and business unit teams in carrying out their respective business plans. The External Communications team plays a key role in achieving organizational objectives and protecting the company’s reputation and positioning.
**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Communications, the Communications Student supports the public relations team in Québec through coordination of internal and external communications projects and events.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Internal and external events coordination including logistics (guest lists, caterer, etc.);
- Bilingual copywriting for various initiatives (draft of internal notes, internal blog posts, social media posts, invitations, etc.)
- Collaborating with the broader corporate communications team on key initiatives (coordination on various projects, including events);
- Various administrative tasks
**Critical Qualifications**:
- College, bachelor’s degree or equivalent in communications or a related field
- Excellent writing skills in French and English in various formats
- Very good knowledge of social media
- Bilingualism required: as part of their duties, the Communications Student will be called upon to interact with both Anglophone and Francophone stakeholders across Canada
- Experience in event management an asset
- Collaborative spirit, flexibility, and the ability to handle several projects simultaneously
- Available on occasion outside of office hours to attend events
- Recognized interpersonal and communication skills
