**Main accountabilities include**:

- Accountable for strategic and operational planning with respect to all training at the base
- Accountable for resource management of training Liaisons, to ensure training is developed and delivered to all departmental roles.
- Accountable for all safety related training such as incident investigation, as well as training support for trends identified through audit and AQD.
- Work closely with the Leaming and Development Team to ensure adequate resources, classes, and training spots for initial, recurrent or quarterly training initiatives.
- Responsible for determining the best means for facilitating learning, implementing training programs, and managing the training budget.
- Responsible for reviewing and analyzing current programs and skill sets of teams and making recommendations for change to positively impact Safety, SPOT, MBR, Guest Experience and Employee Engagement
- Implements evaluation processes, monitor results, and share with business partners in order to determine overall learner and business impact of implemented solutions.
- Provide monthly reporting to leaders of functional areas on completion of mandated training courses and programs.
- Responsible for forecasting training requirements and creating and supporting all base training platforms to ensure all Frontline onboarding/training is planned and delivered, along with all base specific training initiatives, and corporate training programs.
- Lead and motivate their team consisting of Training Liaisons above and below the wing, conducting regular one on one meetings, deliver performance management and coaching as required.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- 5+ years of relevant work experience in training, learning and development fields.
- Undergraduate degree, preferably a Bachelor of Education or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience preferred.
- Experience in analyzing and implementing performance /training needs at the program and operational level.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Strong influencing, consulting and collaboration skills required to build key relationships, promote new ideas and achieve buy-in
- Strong project management skills and proven track record of completing project-based work.
- Prioritizes and uses time effectively, works with a sense of urgency in completing a project and delivers on promises on time.
- Must be detailed and driven with the ability to process information quickly while understanding the overriding goals.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate information that tells a story, highlights key insights, and influences business decisions.

**Additional requirements**:

- Must be Canadian citizen, legal resident or hold the requisite authority to work in
- Canada and have a valid G license.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all required security clearances.
- When required must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Must be able to travel to other locations and work extended hours, and different shifts when the need arises.
