Front of House/cash Department Lead for Sample Sale

**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a Cashier/Front of House Lead Contractor to oversee cashiering operations and provide exceptional customer service at our upcoming Warehouse Sale in Calgary at the BMO Centre, 20 Roundup Way SE. As a contractor, you will lead the front of house team and ensure smooth operations throughout the event.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist with setup and cleanup as needed.
- Oversee registers and cashiering activities.
- Provide training and support to cashier staff.
- Resolve cashier and customer service issues and inquiries.
- Assisting cashiers with POS issues including connectivity problems (printers, scanners, payment devices)
- Assisting cashiers with customer service issues such as refunds, negative experience feedback, or product issues
- Continually refill cash registers with supplies ie. staplers, zip ties, etc
- Keeping track of supplies and reporting to managers when low
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensuring putbacks are continually being recycled back onto the floor and/or sorting stations
- Communicating with the other leads in relation to staff rotating roles based on needs, floor plan changes, and any other areas of coordination

**Qualifications**:

- Previous cashiering or front of house experience required.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation to the event venue.

**Schedule**:

- Wednesday October 9: 8am-10pm
- Thursday October 10: 8am-10pm
- Friday October 11: 8am-10pm
- Saturday October 12: 8am-9pm
- Sunday October 13: 8am-11pm

**Important Notes**:

- This is NOT a full-time job - it is only for the hours of operations listed above.
- People with full time availability for these hours will be prioritized
- Hours are around 12 hour shifts between Wednesday and Sunday only
- Payment made via direct deposit within one business week of the conclusion of the event

**How to Apply**:

- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Calgary, AB T2G 2N6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
