**OPERATIONS MAINTENANCE MANAGER, DISTRICT ENERGY SYSTEMS (DES)**

**The Opportunity**:
Come and join our growing team Reporting to the Director, Operations, you will oversee the daily operational management and maintenance of Creative Energy’s growing District Energy Systems (DES) consistent with health, safety, continuous quality improvement, regulatory compliance and industry best practices to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of client services.

**What you will be responsible for**:

- Leading and managing the team to provide a safety first focused, best in class operation and proactive maintenance program to ensure the safe, effective and efficient operation of the DES. Creating and documenting safety practices and operating standards for all maintenance processes, to effectively support the expanding DEI.
- Managing the recruitment, mentoring, training and development and scheduling of the team within a best-in-class safety environment.
- Developing and implementing the annual operating and capital budget for the DES and short and long-term planning, including the acquisition of capital equipment and supplies, for both existing and the expansion of services.
- Procuring and managing the work of external contractors and service providers and negotiating and monitoring contractual agreements.
- Supporting operational excellence in all aspects of the DES operation by developing and implementing a thoughtful approach to asset management and a KPI dashboard to monitor safety, reliability and equipment performance.
- Developing key customer and stakeholder relations and liaising with the public regarding service calls and inquiries

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Hold a valid 3rdClass Power Engineering Certificate or working towards your 2ndClass certification;
- Minimum 5 - 7 years of related supervisory experience in a bargaining unit environment;
- Other industrial trade tickets or certificates are considered an asset.

**Specialized Skills, Knowledge & Abilities**:

- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to select, develop and coach a team.
- Adaptable and flexible to meet changing priorities and resource constraints.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the job.

**Salary**: $115,000.00-$130,000.00 per year
