**Lions Housing Centres Inc. is recruiting for a Housekeeping and Laundry Support Lead - Full Time Position.**This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards at Lions Manor and Lions View. It includes overseeing the effective delegation of housekeeping duties and ensuring that all processes and procedures are followed to guarantee a high level of cleanliness.

**Reports to**:Support Services Manager

**Responsibilities**:

- Help Residents with the post-treatment of suites, vacuuming, cleaning, removal and disposal of furniture and personal belongings after a pest treatment.
- Monitoring and auditing daily tasks such as laundry, housekeeping, cleaning, and disinfection of in-suite appliances and other areas in the suite as needed.
- Monitor for pest infestation, assign housekeeping and arrange removal of personal belongings after the death of a resident.
- Performs and delegates daily cleaning duties in the facility according to established routines and procedures.
- Update housekeeping and laundry services schedules monthly and provide notice of entry to the residents prior to providing services.
- Ensure all housekeeping supplies and inventory are properly tracked, stocked, and always maintained.
- Assisting in the completion of work tasks duties where coverage is not available.
- Assisting Housekeeping Supervisor with monthly inventory in the Reddoor
- Hold staff meetings and join other department meetings if required.
- Arrange for the removal and disposal of abandoned goods (TVs, dishes, food, clothing, boxes, electronics, cables, telephones, wires, etc.)
- Reporting pest activity when found to the Pest Control Department by submitting a hippo request.
- Demonstrated ability within the housekeeping department to maintain high work performance standards.
- Demonstrated knowledge of departmental procedures and policies with a high level of compliance.
- Updating MSDS, WHMIS, and Workplace Health and Safety.
- Meet with the department supervisor and manager when required to debrief ongoing or pending incidents and any issues or concerns regarding the department or performance.
- Prepares, maintains and posts schedules for direct reports.
- Arranges for staff replacement due to vacancies, absences, vacation, and sick calls in accordance with collective agreements and facility guidelines.
- Posts vacancies in accordance with Collective Agreements and facility guidelines. (back up for Housekeeping Supervisor)
- Prepares payroll timecards on a weekly basis ensuring approval in Logibec. (back up for Housekeeping Supervisor)
- Prepares and maintains schedules in Logibec. (back up for Housekeeping Supervisor)
- Participate in performance management, supervision, and evaluation, of direct reports.
- Responsible for orientation, training, and mentoring of new staff members.
- Performance evaluation; attendance management
- Maintains confidentiality in all matters pertaining to residents, staff, and facility operations
- Practices in a manner that supports the Respectful Workplace Policy, the Resident Bill of Rights, and Lions Housing Centres Inc. Mission, Vision and Values
- Participates in mandatory annual education
- Work collaboratively with all staff as required
- Adheres to and implements company policies and procedures
- Other duties may be assigned from time to time.

**Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent

**Experience**:

- At least 2 years experience with suite/facility cleaning

**Skills and Competencies**:

- Excellent organization skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Able to read, write, and speak English effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication, listening, and customer service skills
- Usage of PPE when required

**Working Conditions and Position Specifics**:

- Must be physically fit to perform required tasks
- Capable to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Criminal record check and adult abuse registry check completed within the last 6 months.
