**Company Description** Kenn Borek Air** (KBA) is a diversified worldwide aircraft charter and leasing operation. The Kenn Borek Air Ltd. (KBAL) Finance team is currently seeking an individual to join the department in the role of Controller. This full time position is based in Calgary.

The Controller will provide leadership, guidance, and support for the accounting team to ensure the efficient operation of the accounting department. The Controller will be responsible for full cycle accounting and tax compliance as well as contribute in the areas of management reporting, business analytics, budgeting, and forecasting.

**Major Responsibilities of the Role**:

- Manage all aspects of accounting, including coordination and preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting for the KBA group of companies;
- Manage and mentor accounts payable, accounts receivable and general accounting staff;
- Continuously evaluate the accounting processes and procedures;
- Develop and implement efficiency improvements while maintaining effective internal controls;
- Develop and monitor business performance metrics;
- Provide support and inputs for the annual budget and forecast processes;
- Prepare working papers and coordinate activities in support of a smooth completion of the interim and year end audits;
- Prepare or coordinate preparation and filing of all statutory reporting;
- Prepare ad hoc reporting as requested by management;
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
- Accounting designation (CPA).
- 3 to 5 years of experience, preferably in public practice with a large accounting firm.
- Strong communication skills (written and oral).
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a positive attitude.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office suite, including Excel, Access, Word and Outlook.
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
