**Parts Technician**

**Position Summary**

This position is responsible for all aspects of parts sales/shipping receiving and maintaining inventory in Red Deer and Stettler branches.

**Principal Responsibilities and Duties**
- **Extensive knowledge with Waukesha & CAT Natural Gas Engines.**:

- **Extensive knowledge with reciprocating gas compressors.**:

- Represents the company in a professional manner at all times.
- Drives company vehicle and or forklift to transport stored items from warehouse to shop or customers as needed, as well as pick up items from vendors.
- Processes requisitions, work orders and shipping orders. Issues material to end users utilizing the systems as defined by the company.
- Compares identifying information, counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Maintains inventory accuracy by issuing inventory to all order types in a timely manner.
- Sorts and places materials/items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined part-number sequence. Marks material with identifying information.
- Fills requisitions, work orders, purchase orders or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items.
- Uses computer and current inventory program (SAP) to enter records.
- Determines best method of shipping parts to customer.
- Takes an active part in cycle counting and inventory processes for the Branch Office.
- Complies with all ALCO HR, Quality, HSE, and other company policies, procedures, processes, work instructions and guidelines.
- Participates in after hours, weekend, holiday and on call rotation as required. Overtime may be required on occasion.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

**Experience**:

- natural gas engine & compressor: 1 year (required)

Work Location: In person
