**Roles & Responsibilities - Drywall Estimator**

Construction Drywall Estimator: Direct, Manage and co-ordinate construction projects tendering and estimation processes. In addition to exploring bidding opportunities, they execute a detailed estimate of the cost of materials, labour, and equipment for construction projects from suppliers/subcontractors’ quotations, drawings, and specifications. Decide on the tendering procedures, recommend tenders, and conduct negotiations. Construction estimators analyze tendered costs and prepare estimates based on provided documentations of all required disciplines’ works and based on the bid conditions and requirements. Drywall estimator will manage the debriefing process requirements to benefit of shortfalls for future bids submissions.

Drywall Estimator Duties and Responsibilities Summary:

- Explore Bids’ opportunities on various platforms and using contacts as applicable. These Bids are to be discussed with Management if to be pursued.
- Be familiar with the various bid procedures and formats, and forms of contract; examine and analyze tender documents; risk assessment of potential project bids.
- During the bid period, assemble all relevant documents including project plans, specifications, and other bid documents.
- Review project documents, meet with clients if applicable, and inspect the construction site to fully understand the work required.
- Assign responsibilities as applicable based on the bid requirements.
- Establish and maintain estimate formats, be familiar with and review cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
- Assess the labour, material, and equipment resources required for a specific project with detailed breakdowns.
- Obtaining multiple quotes for each of these and then selecting the most suitable offers.
- Negotiating with service providers to secure better prices.
- Drafting proposals that require input for materials, costs, and time frames.
- Prepare detailed estimates of probable costs of materials, labour, equipment, and overheads for construction projects. Capable of performing detailed quantity take-off.
- Quantify cost of resources and overheads to arrive at a final estimated cost of the work.
- Review and recommend trade awards as applicable.
- Prepare a draft pre-construction schedule.
- Participate in the preparation of technical submissions.
- Performing project assessments and providing advice on costs of potential risk.
- Meeting with clients to discuss their opinions about our offers.
- Manage Debriefing process and benefit from shortfall in future bids.
- Keep a record of all estimation related documentation and assumptions made for future reference.

**Salary**: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year

**Experience**:
