**Description**
Under the general supervision of the VP - Patient Services and Chief Nursing Officer and in collaboration with the Program Teams, the incumbent is responsible for the following:
- Educational program development for: Nursing staff including RN’s, RPN’s, support staff including PSW’s and/or applicable technicians
- Teaching and learning activities
- Patient education development
- Professional and self-development

**Qualifications**:
**Experience**
- Must have a minimum of three years recent related nursing experience with demonstrated competency in a defined area of clinical nursing practice
- Previous experience in teaching, education and program development and evaluation is preferred
- Previous experience with working with International Educated Nurses preferred
**Education**
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing required
- Master’s degree in nursing is preferred (equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
- Certificate or certification in a related specialty area preferred
**Certification/Licensure/Registration**
- Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Active participation in professional associations preferred
**Qualifications and Skills**
- Scope of practice as documents in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA)
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve in complex situations
- Evidence of knowledge of the principles of adult learning and teaching strategies
- Demonstrated ability to function collaboratively and independently
- Demonstrated commitment to continued professional development
- Initiates and supports change
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Competency with word processing and presentation programs required
- Knowledge of First Nations culture an asset
- Knowledge of Internationally Educated Nurse licensing an asset
- Reliable attendance record
