The Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF) is the democratic Government of the Red River Métis, also known as the Manitoba Métis, and represents the claims, rights, and interests of their people. The Red River Métis are Canada's Negotiating Partners in Confederation and the Founders of the Province of Manitoba.
The Manitoba Métis Federation was established in 1967 and continues the legacy of their ancestors as the national Government of the Red River. The MMF delivers programs and services in the sectors of child and family services; justice; housing; youth; education; human resources; economic development and natural resources. The MMF along with its affiliated corporations, authorities, and agencies has just under one thousand employees to develop and administer programs and services..
Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for managing the overall financial position and plays a critical role in developing and implementing the financial strategy of the MMF. As a member of the senior leadership team, the CFO is responsible for advising, evaluating, and assisting the MMF and affiliates with their financial plans, economic modeling, and all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities in conjunction with the governance, finance, corporate, audit, and investment for the operations.
