About Apotex Inc. Job Summary Attentive and detail-oriented payroll specialist, responsible for the end to end process of the Canadian payroll - this includes organizing all payroll task with the team, generating all MyHR and SAP audit reports and ensure audit is completed. Run payroll jobs in SAP and complete payroll by the assigned deadline. Process EFT files to the bank and accurately posting payroll to the General Ledger. Payroll processing in compliance with all policies and procedures. Responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service supporting both internal and external customers Job Responsibilities Responsible for the end-to-end payroll processing for the SAP Payroll. Must ensure that payroll is completed by the assigned deadline. Process Pre - Data Medium Exchange files, DME files, and transmit the bank files. Must ensure that the bank files are successfully received by the bank in time for payday. Responsible for the end-to-end payroll processing each pay for the Dayforce Payroll. Produce payroll reports for finance to make payroll journal entries. Print all forms submitted through MyHR and distribute to team members for processing. Review errors on batch jobs, troubleshoot, and make corrections as required. Successful posting of the SAP payroll to the General Ledger, troubleshooting any errors that occur during the posting process. Liaise with Finance Accountant to resolve any posting errors. Enter and audit all employee related data into SAP. This includes, New hires, Leave, Org Changes and Pay changes. Calculate and update Vacation and Care Hours balances. Responsible for Org Unit maintenance which includes the creation of jobs and positions that are held within the org units.Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization on the maintenance of this data. Liaise with Employees, Management and HR Partners to provide training and guidance relating to policies and procedures before completing entries into SAP HR/Payroll. Ensure integrity of data always. Process Voluntary and Involuntary terminations in a timely manner. Calculate eligible retiring allowance, process RRSP rollover and lawyer fees, where applicable. Calculate and payout outstanding vacation, care hours, and banked OT. Process ROE on the web it related to absences, terminations, etc. Also, provide on-going training on MyHR and SAP payroll functionalities. Work with Process Lead to troubleshoot more complex payroll and system issues.Must be able to understand the complexities of the SAP data and how to accurately extract data for the various requests from the business. Continuously assessing current payroll procedures, understand the interdependencies of these processes, review procedures with the team and making recommendations to improve the overall processes to meet the changing needs of the organization. Act as backup and provide ongoing support to other team members to ensure payroll deadline is met. Must coordinate timeoff with other HR6 to ensure proper coverage always. Respond to employee inquiries in a timely manner - within 48 hrs Works in a safe manner collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes. All other relevant duties as assigned. Job Requirements Education Completion of the Canadian Payroll Association - PCP is required. Diploma in Business or Human Resources, or equivalent working experiences. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet tight and competing deadlines in a high volume fast paced environment. Proven analytical abilities as demonstrated through education or previous work experience. High level of attention to detail and accuracy is required. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all payroll information and exercise extreme discretion. Experience 5 years experiences processing full cycle payroll for a medium or large organization. Specific training and/or work experience with HR Systems, preferably SAP.
