**Position: Assistant Production Supervisor**

**Location: Etobicoke, ON**

**Job Type: Full-Time, Flexible to work either day or night shift**

**Pay: Commensurate to Experience**

**Responsibilities**:
**Quality Assurance**:

- Assist in overseeing quality control processes throughout the manufacturing cycle.
- Assist with implementing and maintaining quality standards and procedures to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Assist with regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and address deviations promptly.

**Production Oversight**:

- Assist with the management of the day-to-day operations and activities of production workers, ensuring adherence to production schedules and targets.
- Assist with the assigning of tasks to workers to optimize workflow and achieve production goals and quality standards are maintained.
- Assist with the implementation and improvement of production processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Monitor production processes and assist with making adjustments as necessary
- Ensure accurate records of production data and prepare reports as needed
- Implement and enforce safety regulations and procedures
- Assist with providing customer service and status updates

**Team Management**:

- Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of production workers to achieve individual and collective targets.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Provide coaching and support to workers to enhance their skills and performance.
- Train new employees on production procedures and safety protocols

**Cost Management**:

- Identify opportunities to reduce production costs without compromising quality.
- Assist with implementing cost-effective measures and monitor budgetary compliance.
- Work collaboratively with others to optimize resource utilization.

**Qualifications**:

- **Required**: 5+ years in a Steel Manufacturing/Powder Coating production management function.
- Strong understanding of quality standards, production processes, and efficiency optimization.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Flexibility to work either Day or Night shifts

**Education and Experience**:

- Degree/Diploma in Operations Management, Quality or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Steel manufacturing industry or Powder Coating facility.

**Skills**:

- Mechanical knowledge to understand and troubleshoot equipment issues
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools for assembly and fabrication tasks
- Experience working in a warehouse environment
- Ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently is an asset, but not required.
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team of production workers
- Excellent communication skills to interact with employees at all levels of the organization
- Attention to detail to ensure quality control throughout the production process
