Grain Assistant

Prairie Flour Mills Ltd. currently seeking a highly motivated person to fill the position of Grain Assistant, who will be responsible for grain analyzing and unloading grain trucks as per the specifications. Excellent critical, strategic and decision-making competencies are required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Unloading trucks and storing into appropriate storage bins based on quality analysis results.
- Collecting new harvest samples and conducting quality analysis for procuring quality grain to meet flour specifications.
- Transfer grain to cleaner bins as required (organic and conventional), operate pre-cleaner to clean organic wheat.
- Helping to load mill feed trucks to ensure bins don’t fill up and stop production.
- Assisting with transferring and loading flour to overhead bins or tankers when needed.
- Assisting preparing custom papers for border crossing.
- Maintain a clean working environment that complies with GMPs and Food Safety System.
- Able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
- Able to lift and carry 23kg/50lbs.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in agriculture/grain will be an asset.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Computer, internet, and Microsoft office skills.
- Must be a Canadian Resident.
