Ramp Agent/baggage Handler

Are you someone who loves to travel and loves the idea of working with airplanes? Ground Services Company at the Nanaimo Airport is looking for ramp agents.

Duties consist of:

- loading/unloading baggage on/off aircraft
- marshalling, lavatory servicing, grooming (cleaning interiors of aircraft)
- de-icing and all related winter operations duties
- driving tugs, belt loaders and other ramp equipment airside

Pay is set at $19.15/hour after training and the shifts range from early mornings to late evenings and all hours in between. Due to the timing of the flights, ramp agents generally will be able to work between 2 to 8 hours per day (anything past 2 hours may not be consecutive). All training hours are paid at a starting hourly rate of $18.15 which will increase to $19.15 once training is completed. Medical/dental package and reduced flight passes also available. Must enjoy working outdoors in all types of weather and be able to lift up to 75 pounds continuously. Having a valid Driver's License is also a must. Criminal record check required.
