We are currently seeking a motivated and organized Referral Clerk to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview:
Key Responsibilities:

- Process and send out referrals for family physicians in a timely and efficient manner.
- Schedule appointments with specialists for patients as per physician recommendations.
- Contact patients to provide appointment details, instructions, and any necessary follow-up.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of referrals and appointments in the clinic's system.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, specialists, and administrative staff to coordinate patient care.
- Assist in resolving any issues or questions from patients regarding their referrals or appointments.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a medical office, particularly in scheduling or referral management, is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems Telus PS Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
