**Job description**

Sales Associate Job Overview:
This is a front-line sales position whose primary focus is to provide fast, friendly and knowledgeable service to our customers. In addition, you will be expected to participate in merchandising the store and maintaining the warehouse.

Major Tasks & Responsibilities:

- Engage with all customers in a courteous, professional and pleasant manner ensuring all their questions relating to product details are provided
- Perform all Point-of-Sale transactions such as processing sales, completing exchanges and doing returns through the POS Terminal
- Maintain all store standards relating to product presentation, restocking inventory and general housekeeping

Qualifications:

- Solid experience working in a sales driven environment is paramount
- Able to work in a team-based environment as well as work autonomously with mínimal supervision
- Excellent listening and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with computers (Point-of-Sale Terminals)
- Detail oriented with strong follow up skills
- Able to multitask
- Physically fit enough to climb stairs and/or ladders, put stock out on the sales floor and provide assistance in the warehouse when required
- Trade experience is an asset
