**Document Specialist, Residential Mortgages**

**Montreal, QC**

**About the role**:

- Establish and maintain positive relationships with broker partners
- Interact with mortgage brokers for the collection of all required documents to satisfy all broker conditions
- Review and verify accuracy of required documentation, including, but not limited to; income, down payment, and property
- Ensure documentation is compliant with internal and regulatory guidelines
- Escalate document discrepancies or issues to the Underwriter for review
- Save clear and concise notes to the file
- Respond to all inquiries within established turn-around times

**This role is for you if you have**:

- Experience with compliance review is preferred
- Post-secondary education and/or equivalent work experience
- Working knowledge of residential mortgage legal documentation
- 1 or more years of experience in the mortgage industry (residential mortgage experience is strongly preferred)
- You have proven ability to problem solve and manage conflicts with internal and external stakeholders
- You have the ability to manage pressure in an environment of high volume processing with tight turnaround times
- You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and are able to work well independently as well as within a team environment
- You possess a high attention to detail, accuracy and adherence to established policy and guidelines.
