Finish Roller Operator

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Positively participate in the Company safety program and adhere to all safety requirements
- Observe compaction speed / effort to compliment asphalt mix lay down production to ensure proper compaction and workmanship.
- Operate self-propelled steel-wheeled, rubber-tired, vibrator, segmented or other type of roller to compact asphalt surfaces.
- Distribute, break down, compress and give a finished surface to cooling asphalt.
- Other duties as required.
**Knowledge/Skills**:
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to work with up to four additional compaction roller operators. Ability to discuss and plan daily project paving procedures / goals with fellow paving personnel to maximize productivity and workmanship.
- Determine speed and direction of machine based on knowledge of compressibility of material under changing temperatures.
- Must be alert and able to work safely around moving road construction equipment
- Must have strong regard for ethics
**Experience/Education**:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Experience in the road construction industry is required.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with own transportation is required.
