Note: We promote a safe and healthy work environment. **Description**: Operate a variety of mobile water well drilling rigs and equipment to drill and monitor residential, commercial and industrial water wells. **Responsibilities**: - Review client requirements and proposed locations for water wells - Operate water well drilling rigs and other equipment to drill, bore and dig for residential, commercial and industrial water wells or environmental assessment, and install well screens, casings and other well fixtures - Document geological formations encountered - Clean and disinfect wells in preparation for use - Perform routine mechanical maintenance work on water well drilling rigs and equipment - Install, test, maintain and repair water well pumps, piping systems and equipment and perform pumping tests to assess well performance - May provide other drilling services, such as repair or dismantling of existing water well structure, elevator shaft drilling and hydro pole drilling **Qualifications**: - Must have a good attitude, be reliable and punctual - Excellent communication skills - Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and outdoors exposed to weather and possible extreme temperatures - Self-motivated - Work independently and as part of a team - Maintain a professional image - Comfortably lift and carry minimum of 50 lbs - High School Diploma or GED - Carry a valid Class 3 driver's licence - Use appropriate standard safety equipment - Operate hazardous equipment, machinery, tools - Minimum 2 years water well drilling experience required - apprentices will be considered **Job Type**:Full time **Salary**: Competitive Wages (depending on experience) **Schedule**: Full Time Monday - Friday (some weekends) **Experience**: Water Well Driller - 2 years (required) **Language**: English (required) Pay: From $40.00 per hour Flexible language requirement: - French not required Schedule: - 10 hour shift - Monday to Friday - Overtime - Weekends as needed Application question(s): - Are you currently in a water well driller apprenticeship program? **Experience**: - water well drilling: 2 years (required) Licence/Certification: - Class 3 Licence (preferred) - water well driller licence (preferred) Work Location: In person Expected start date: 2024-12-09
