**Job Summary**
This role will be responsible for direct sales (orders and revenue) into accounts within Canada in the healthcare marketplace (public and private). The specific software solutions are all related to improving patient access to care and the efficiency of healthcare systems. Some examples would be: eReferrals, managing surgical wait times, diagnostic imaging workflow management, mental health and addiction referral management and analytics.

**Education and Experience**
**Required**:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or the arts (marketing, sales, management, communications, computer science, commerce, political science, English, history, etc.).
- Proven multi-year track record in working in complex, multi-million-dollar software and consulting opportunities in major Canadian Healthcare public and private organizations.
- Demonstrated success in developing and managing a large account relationship.
- A self-starter, able to work independently and rapidly understand the customer value proposition and our unique solutions.
- Proven ability to interact effectively in all levels of an organization including with ‘C’ and VP level executives.
- Demonstrated success in growing and managing a territory (new and installed customers).
- Outstanding presentation and writing skills.
- Must be competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
- Must have the ability to legally work in Canada, a valid passport, drivers' license; be willing to travel within Canada (travel 50% of the time).
**Nice to Have**:
- Industry knowledge of the healthcare sector. This could be obtained from selling, consulting or from working in the industry.
- Sales-level familiarity with technical aspects of software as a service (SaaS) and current trends in computing.
- French / English.
- CPHIMS (Certified Professional in Health Information Management Systems).
**Key Areas of Responsibility**:
- Exceed assigned order and revenue targets.
- Win new accounts in healthcare across Canada.
- Effectively prospect to build the funnel.
- Capitalize on industry knowledge and contacts to uncover business issues within prospects.
- Effectively advise and influence customers through consultative selling techniques.
- Articulate the proposed solution in terms of ROI to the prospect.
- Utilize team members including post-sales delivery professionals, pre-sales technical professionals, and management to achieve business objectives.
- Rely on excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to initiate and maintain executive-level interaction and customer satisfaction.
- Develop new business opportunities and close business.
- Close profitable solution business incorporating software and professional services.
- Complete all required ongoing product and solution training within the timeframes identified for each course.
- Use the company’s CRM system to maintain detailed tracking of all prospect activities for weekly review with management.
- Use sales tools to manage customer contacts.
- Use sales tools to track opportunities, deal value, estimated close dates and selling phase.
- Provide monthly reporting of activities and sales forecast to management.
- This role reports to the VP of Business Development.
