**The Opportunity**

Plannera is seeking a future-focused Manager of Policy and Business Development to lead strategic initiatives, provide strategic policy advice and drive business growth opportunities. This role is crucial in shaping our future, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and optimizing opportunities to grow. Key responsibilities include:

- Leading the implementation of a business development strategy, preparing business cases and making recommendations to senior leadership and governing bodies.
- Providing expert guidance in the analysis of complex pension plan issues, interpretation of legislation and regulations, and oversight of existing corporate and plan policy.
- Researching and new pension and benefit opportunities to meet diverse client needs, emerging issues and evolving industry trends.
- Leading cross-functional teams, collaborating with leaders and key stakeholders to plan and execute strategic initiatives.
- Developing and managing a high-performing team of policy professionals.

- Advanced research and analytical skills to inform policy decisions and recommendations;
- Significant experience in business development and project management;
- Exceptional facilitation and communication skills to develop reports, analyze results and present issues and recommendations to a variety of audiences;
- A track record of leading high-performing teams with an inclusive, engaged and accountable culture; and
- Strong budget management and reporting skills.

Typically, the knowledge and abilities required for this position will be attained through a combination of:

- Completion of a post-graduate degree in public policy, economics, social sciences, administration or related discipline;
- Several years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and
- Knowledge of Canadian best practices in pension and benefit administration and legislation.
