**Who We Are**:
We are MDRN (pronounced Modern). We specialize in photo and video activations at events. This can range from event photography, mobile studios, photo booths, 360 video booths and any other combination of cool experiences you can have involving photo/video.
You might be thinking... photobooths? like those things that you see at weddings. Well, kinda but better. We have taken our expertise in professional photographer and videography and applied them to event experiences. While the set up might sometimes look like a photo booth the image that comes out are straight out of a professional photo studio. We use nothing but professional cameras, lighting and printers.
**What does A Event Photographer / Photobooth Attendant Do?**
Great question, I would love to tell you. You will be in charge of actually executing the event. Don't worry we have a team behind you helping you along the way but on site this is your time to shine. You will be in charge of picking up the equipment and taking it to the venue where your assistant(s) will meet you. You will both set up the experience (could be a studio set up, photobooth or another cool experience) and then run the event by helping people capture incredible memories.
Your main goal is to make sure that exposure, white balance and prints are 10/10 and that guest get an amazing experience.
We will provide you with all the equipment.
**Who Do We Want To Hire?**
Our ideal person would have:
- 2+ years of real photography knowledge. Like you know the difference between ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperture and how to combine them to get the desired look.
- Knowledge of flash would be ideal. We use both on camera and strobe flash for our events.
- You have to be a kind and outgoing human. You will be dealing with people at events. We want to provide them with a great experience at each interaction.
- You have to **have a car** and a valid drivers licence. This is because you need to transport the equipment.
- You have to be able to lift our cases which can weigh up to 60lbs. They do have wheels but you need to get them in and out of your car.
- English is essential.
- French is a nice bonus but not required.
- Weekend and Evening Availability is a must
**What's The Pay?**
Your first 3 events are training events plus there is a bit of in house training too. You will get paid $20/hour during this time.
Once you are on your own you will get paid $25/hour.
We will continue to train you until you get to the intermediate level which pays $35/hour. This usually takes about 10 events to reach this level and some additional in house training.
Most events are 6-8 hours from start to finish.
We also pay KM's + parking expenses.
