**Job Summary**:

- Interpreting and explaining company policies, procedures, practices, and programs.
- Providing advice and guidance to managers and associates for unionized locations.
- Providing guidance to managers in handling employee relations issues and in resolving complaints or disputes.
- Investigate issues and provide resolution on the following:

- Complaints about working conditions
- Disciplinary actions
- Discrimination allegations, or other HR related matters.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as preparing disciplines, terminations and other letters/memos as required by operations.
- Work on special projects, such as drafting or updating policy and processes both independently and as part of a team.

Think you have what it takes to be our **People Advisor**? We’re committed to hiring the best talent for the role. Here’s how we’ll know you’ll be successful in the role:

- Minimum two years of experience as an HR Generalist/Specialist/Advisor within a large company, preferably with exposure to unionized associates and collective agreements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or related
- Advanced computer skills including ability to perform HRIS queries (i.e. JD Edwards, SAP), generate reports, perform web-based research, and create case management files in HR ticketing software (i.e. Remedy).
- Knowledge of employment labor law in multiple provinces is an asset
- Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Readily adaptable to changing work priorities.
- Ability to de-escalate situations and handle difficult conversations.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrate versatility, flexibility, and an enthusiasm about working with constantly changing priorities.
