Overview:
Lafarge Construction Edmonton is looking for a
**Class 1 Equipment Hauling Driver** to join our team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Loading, chaining down and transporting equipment on a low boy.
- Hot asphalt oil hauling. Hauling Super B trailers.
- Mostly local hauls and some hauls to southern Alberta.
- Loading and unloading of hot asphalt oil.
- Plan travel schedules and routes
- Receive and relay information to central dispatcher
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspection tires, lights, breaks, cold storage and other equipment

Qualifications:

- Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
- Tractor Trailer; Flatbed experience

**_ Working Conditions_**_:_
- Winter months will be 10 hours days Monday - Saturday.
- Summer months will be 10 - 12 hours /day.
- Local 955 Operator Engineers union.

**_ Documentation Knowledge_**_:_
- Driver Logbook; Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip); Maintenance and repair reports; Trip reports; Accident or incident reports

**_ Specific Skills:_**
- Reading text; Document use; Numeracy; Writing; Communication; Working with others; Problem solving; Decision making; Critical thinking; Job tasks planning and organizing; Significant use of memory.

Wage: Group 1 under the Union agreement which is currently $33.68/hour.
