Tanning Consultant

**Overview**
As a Tanning Consultant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to clients seeking tanning solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to educate customers about tanning products and services, ensuring they have a positive experience while achieving their desired results. You will work in a vibrant environment that promotes beauty and wellness, helping clients feel confident and satisfied with their tanning choices.

**Duties**
- Greet and assist clients as they enter the tanning salon, providing a welcoming atmosphere.
- Assess client needs and recommend appropriate tanning services and products based on skin type and desired outcomes.
- Educate clients on the safe use of tanning equipment and products, including UV beds, spray tans, red light therapy and self-tanning lotions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tanning area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use by independant time management
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently while managing client appointments.
- Stay updated on the latest tanning trends, products, and safety practices to provide informed recommendations.
- Address client inquiries or concerns promptly to enhance customer satisfaction.

**Skills**
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Knowledge of tanning products and services is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey information about tanning options.
- Attention to detail to ensure customer safety and satisfaction.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
- Basic computer skills for appointment scheduling and transaction processing.
- Physically fit and able bodied as there are high physical demands on the body.
- Strong comprehension of the English language is required.

We are a locally run Guelph tanning salon and our goal is to make our clients feel welcome and at home in our salon all while guiding them to the most optimal tanning results possible We are looking for someone with a bright, cheery demeanor who can wow our clients with their kindness and helpfulness Professional or personal tanning experience is ideal

Our company is seeking a Tanning Consultant to join our team. Our expectation is that staff have a passion for customer service and understand they are responsible for selling tanning services to clients, cleaning beds following their use, and in-store housekeeping. Other responsibilities, in addition to those outlined below include managing cash, answering phones and scheduling appointments.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greeting clients with a positive and upbeat disposition
- Listening and answering client questions to develop a personalized plan enabling individuals to achieve their tanning goals
- Advise customers on the proper use of equipment, including maintenance, care, and safety.
- Thorough detailing of tanning beds & rooms after each use.
- General cleaning that includes but not limited to vacuuming, dusting, windows, and bathrooms.
- strong interpersonal skills with a bubbly happy demeanour
- the ability to work productively without supervision and strong time management skills
- a knowledge of sales techniques
- previous exposure to the tanning industry is ideal (either personally or professionally)
- previous experience working with cash
- the ability and desire to self-educate and develop a deep understanding of tanning services and products offered
- a strong foundation in customer service

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
